The Dementia Society of the Philippines has included in its services an outreach program that extends to the different provinces in the Philippines. The primary aim of the organization is to increase the awareness of physicians in the early detection of dementia and hone their skills in the evaluation and management of this disorder. The team that covers the program includes medical and non-medical members of the DSP. Allied medical specialists are included in the team in order to properly address the neuropsychological evaluation of patients with the use of simple tools and the non-pharmacologic management of early dementia.
